Christmas Festivities

It's been fun to be home and join in all the holiday fun.
Last Friday we went to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. Thanks again Sandy for giving us tickets, we enjoyed it very much!
Saturday we went to our Potter side Christmas party which is always fun to see our big family. I guess I ended up on the little girls table, but Lucy kept us all entertained :)
I lent Prezley the dress I had purchased for New Years Eve to wear her Christmas dance & she of course looked adorable. She had me do her hair & let me tell you making the bow in the back of her hair was a long process. I finally got it presentable on about my 10th try ;)
Sunday Meg & Landon had a work party so I got to tend my buddy Hawkes.
We were feeling pretty romantical so we strolled down to see the lights at temple square.
I need to practice how to take good night/lights photos but you get the idea. It was so nice to be able to walk down from Landon & Meg's apartment.
Well that's it for now, can't believe there are only 6 days till Christmas!!!

Holiday fun

We made it back from Vegas just in time for our annual friends Christmas party. (California friends anyways) We had delicious treats, fun company & a awesome gift exchange. We had packed long before we knew it was an ugly sweater party, but tried to look festive anyways :)
Good times :)

Vegas quickie

Last year for Christmas we received Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil tickets for this year from Chris & Amy. It was fun to have something to look forward to for a whole year! We stayed in a modern boutique hotel called Rumors which I really enjoyed.
It was nice because it wasn't crowded with a huge casino, so it was perfect for a relaxing 2 night stay.
We ate dinner at a unique Russian restaurant before the show..
Jeremy is here eating russian nachos which included salmon, kinda weird.
We celebrated my birthday early with some yummy desserts.
The show was not as great as we expected, but we had a really fun time. I think I secretly hoped the real Michael would show up! :)
Thanks Chris & Amy for such a thoughtful gift & fun weekend, we will miss you this Christmas!

Hawaii

I was so happy to be able to go to Hawaii this year. It is like disneyland for grown ups :) We spent most of our time on the North Shore of Oahu at the most awesome beach house. Here we are on the porch overlooking the ocean.
It was so fun to watch the huge waves change every day.
And just to clarify there is a HUGE difference for me with Hawaiian beaches and Mexican beaches. Hawaii has the softest sand, clear turquoise water with warm temperatures & really good waves for surfing and such.
The view from the ocean of our beach house
We had fun visiting the polynesian cultural center one day. Jeremy especially loved learning all the interesting facts about the different islands.
We went to the luau that night.
We of course stopped by Matsumoto to get some yummy shaved ice
Jer, Me, Megan & Chris
We saw a couple of rainbows :)
Jer as a mermaid
Jer of course had to fit in a couple days golfing
The girls tagged along for the turtle bay course
We barely missed the big pipe masters surfing competition by a day, but did get to watch them practicing the day before.
Crazy to see all of them out on the waves
Jeremy & I had met up in Oahu when we were still dating two years ago, & had taken a silly picture back then. So we decided we would take the same picture every year we come to Hawaii to see our progress :)
                                     2008                                                                      2011
After a relaxing time on the north shore we said goodbye to our awesome beach house..
and headed to Honolulu for our last full day.
The resort was heaven!
We had a lovely time and hope to make it back to Hawaii many more times!

Is it Dec 1st already!

Wow is it really December already!! I love this time of year, it's so magical. I can't wait to get home & see all the snow.
We decided not to put up all our Christmas decorations, mainly the tree since I won't be here in San Felipe the rest of December & Jer will only be here a short time before he meets me in Utah. I did however want to get out some of my favorite decorations so Jeremy could feel a little bit of the Christmas spirit while he finishes up work here while I am in Utah. It just makes me so happy to look at :)
Very cheery & bright! I am still in love with the pom pom wreath I made last year. The trees & stockings were from target, the snow globe Jeremy gave me for my birthday, the peace letters from anthro, and my mom let me have her nutcracker men. I hope to collect decorations every year so when we finally have our own place it will have something for every corner.

Well I am off to pack as we are off to Hawaii tomorrow!!! I can't wait to relax in the sun, and swim in the warm water.
Aloha!
